Commitment to your health and wellness

Jeff Newton
Founder, Certified Trainer A.C.E.

Jeff has long been passionate about running and fitness. As the founder of Cor-Fit, Jeff is dedicated to motivating individuals and businesses alike by utilizing the team approach to creating healthy lifestyle changes.

Jeff is currently working as a Manager for the State of California. He has over 15 years experience motivating people to meet or exceed their personal and professional goals.

Jeff began his lifestyle change in 1994 in an effort to shed unwanted pounds from college. He began a slow training program that included running, cross training and weight lifting. If four short months, Jeff lost over 20 pounds. Since the start of his self developed training program over 15 years ago, Jeff has managed to lose and keep off over 60 pounds and has maintained a healthy weight over several years.

In February of 2010 he received his Personal Training certification through the American Council on Exercise. While a member of the Asics Fleet Feet Racing Team, Jeff competes in races in distances from the 5K to the Marathon, including the 2011 Boston Marathon. Most recently Jeff competed in The North Face 50K Endurance Challenge in December. Jeff will look to continue his passion for endurance running by completing his first 50 mile race at the 2012 American River 50 Mile Endurance Run.

Cherie regularly competes in running events from distances varying from the 5K to the marathon.
